  • Some images have missing or incomplete descriptions.

  • Tables and content may not be fully tagged.

  • Information in some file formats published after 23 September 2018 may not be fully accessible to screen reader software.

Conformance with official accessibility guidelines

An external service provider conducted a review to determine the level of compliance against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0. Of the 61 “Success Criteria” defined in the WCAG, the website was compliant with 51 of those, and non-compliant with 10 items. The majority of those items have since been remediated. The review was a point in time indication of the level of compliance of NORA’s public website with the WCAG requirements as at October 2024.

How we are going to improve accessibility on NORA.ie

We are aware of some areas of our website where we could improve accessibility, adding photo-descriptions for example, and are currently working to achieve this. The website will be reviewed on a periodic basis.
